Day 1 – Arrive in Papua New Guinea: Upon your arrival at Jackson’s International Airport in Port Moresby, one of our dedicated tour staff members will extend a warm welcome. They will provide assistance with your luggage and ensure a seamless transfer to your hotel, the Holiday Inn Express.

Day 2 – Flight to Goroka: Our tour guides will facilitate a seamless hotel check-out process, organize your airport transfers, and ensure a smooth check-in at your Goroka accommodation. Once settled, your first day in Goroka kicks off after a lunch with a visit to the Goroka J.K. McCarthy Museum. This​​ experience provides a unique opportunity to explore a blend of local tribe artifacts, World War II memorabilia, and an extensive collection of historical photographs, offering valuable insights into Goroka’s history from the past to the present.

Day 3 – Goroka Show Day 1: You’ll be joining our expert tour guide for the first day of the Goroka Show. This event offers a unique opportunity to witness a spectacular array of headdresses, face paintings, intricate masks, and breathtaking body art, all coming to life within a single venue. The brilliant colors, melodic chants, and rhythmic dances proudly showcase the rich culture of Papua New Guinea’s diverse tribes, who continue to honor their ancestral traditions, known as “pasin tumbuna.”

Day 4 – Goroka Show Day 2: You’ll enjoy your second day at the Goroka Show. Nowhere else in the world can you witness such an array of vibrant, animated headdresses, intricate face paintings, striking masks, and living masterpieces of body art all converging in a single spectacular setting. These vibrant colors, rhythmic chants, and spirited dances proudly showcase the rich cultural tapestry of Papua New Guinea’s tribes, who continue to embrace their time-honored traditions, referred to as “pasin tumbuna” or the ways of their ancestors. Day 5 – Goroka Show Day 3: On the final day of the Goroka Show, you’ll go on a half-day exploration of the Goroka region, where a group adventure awaits. You’ll discover local treasures through an exciting village tour, meet the intriguing Asaro Mudmen, savor the flavors of traditional Mumu cooking, and take in the charm of Goroka town and its picturesque surroundings. Day 6 – Flight to Port Moresby: You’ll begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, followed by a morning flight to Port Moresby. Our team will be at your service to ensure a seamless transfer to your hotel accommodations.
